What is an OBD2 Port?

An OBD2 port (On-Board Diagnostics II) is a standardized 16 pin connector in vehicles, allowing access to the car’s computer for diagnostic and monitoring purposes.

The OBD2 port, mandated in most vehicles since the mid-’90s, is a standardized interface located typically under the dashboard.
